So this evening I made the current issue's cover recipe, risi e bisi and I noticed that it called for something called vialone nano but stated arborio rice would substitute. I then noticed the Milk Street store didn't have vialone nano rice at all. Have you considered putting together a package of specialty ingredients to be sold in your store in conjunction with whatever is in the latest issue? (I.E. vialone nano rice or specialty star anise for a Vietnamese dish or whatever, etc). I think that would be cool to just know a new issue is coming and that I've not going to have to mail order stuff piece meal to cook anything in it. By the way, the risi e bisi is fantastic! Totally wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, but it was definitely a hit at my house.

Hi Joshua - Thanks so much for the suggestion! I will certainly pass it along to our Milk Street Store team. I do know that the store team does try to seek out specialty ingredients that can be found in our recipes whenever they can. In some cases, they just haven't found the right product yet. We are so glad to hear you loved the rice e bisi. We love it too! Best, Lynn C.

I am trying to print a recipe using the print button on the recipe, but it comes up in my pre-print screen with a banner that says this site uses cookies across the recipe. The banner does not appear on the recipe. Please explain how to print the recipe. Thanks.

Hi Shirley - The clipboard is not a feature on our website, but a special location in your computer's memory that temporarily stores cut or copied data from a document. Once, something is stored in the clipboard, it can then be pasted to a new location. The clipboard holds its information until you cut or copy something else, or log out of the computer. For example, a user may copy information from a word processor and paste that information into an email.
It is essentially the computer's way of making it so you can copy and paste something. And for our website, that particular feature allows people to easily copy and paste the ingredients list without having to do much work at all.
Best,
The Milk Street Team

I'm very interested in it, it was one of the main things that made me want to subscribe.

My husband and I got introduced to Milk Street by watching the episodes from the first season that were available on Amazon Prime Video. It inspired us to sign up, so we could keep watching the later seasons.
I’m easily able to watch the episodes on my computer and tablet, but that’s just me watching by myself. How can I watch them on my TV, so that we can both watch together?
I can’t find the AirPlay or Chromecast button on the video player when I watch on the site. Either of those would work. So would a dedicated Milk Street app for Apple TV, or some other smart TV device.
Watching together, and then cooking together, is our whole inspiration for subscribing. Surely there must be a way to do that, that isn’t the two of us huddled around a small (for two people) tablet?

Rochelle - thanks for getting in touch. We're glad to hear that Milk Street TV has been a source of inspiration for you! We don't have Chromecast or Airplay buttons built into our video player platform, and unfortunately we also don't have a dedicated app for this. So, in the short term, the easiest way for you to be able to watch on a larger screen is simply to plug your laptop or tablet into your TV with an HDMI cable. I have also reached out to our TV team to see if there are higher-tech solutions and will get back to you with any updates soon. - April D.

Hi Grayson - I have forwarded your message over to our store team. They will be in touch with an update about your orders; please stay tuned! - April D.

I updated to Insider a couple of months ago. However the store still wants to charge shipping. After hearing from Milkstreet, I changed my password, cleared my browser and used a different computer. None of these corrected the problem. I have no clue how to resolve this.
Has anyone else had this problem? Could you fix it?
Answered by Evan Petto

Hello, new subscriber here. Was able to download a PDF of the 12 recipes feature. Went to attempt with past magazines and although the option is presented (iPad), the PDF’s are jarbled and incomplete. Can someone provide guidance for how to generate PDF’s of past magazines? THANKS.
Answered by Evan Petto
Hi Marc,
Thank you for your question. Milk Street does not currently offer PDF copies of back issues through our channels—our back issues are currently available to view on our magazine page.
Please send where you found this option to generate a PDF as well as the files presented to you to epetto@177milkstreet.com, where I will be happy to assist you.
Best,
Evan

If I enroll in a class, but can't do it live, will I still be able to see the recorded video and save it later? And still get the coupon for the store?
Answered by April Dodd
Hi Paul - thanks for writing! Yes, we share the recording, a packet of recipes, and the discount to the store with all registered attendees after class, even if you can't be there in real time. Hope that helps! - April
