Omazuke ("Pissed Off Soup")

This is a rice dish servced with tea, made by Yuki Kurata at 310 Amanohashi. It's also known as “Pissed Off Soup” because it shows the cook’s lack of interest in cooking anything interesting for the husband or whomever. Another version serves the rice and tea over salted kombu as a dinner.

Yuki's version was made with miso-marinated mackerel (but salmon would also work well), ginger and celery leaves served over fresh-cooked rice, with green tea poured over top.
