Spicy Curry Salt

This salt is especially good on cooked red lentils, hearty braised greens such as collards or pureed vegetable soups. Or toss it with buttered popcorn.

Ingredients

    tablespoon kosher salt

  • 1

    tablespoon curry powder

  • teaspoons yellow mustard seeds, toasted and crushed

  • 1

    teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • ½

    teaspoon grated nutmeg

  • ½

    teaspoon ground cardamom

  • ½

    teaspoon white sugar

In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir together or rub with your fingers until well mixed.
