
Creamy Cilantro-Lime Sauce with Pickled Jalapeños

Creamy and cooling but also a little spicy and tangy, this sauce comes together easily. We use the gentle heat of pickled jalapeños to balance the richness of sour cream and mayonnaise. It’s great anywhere you’d use sour cream as a garnish—drizzled onto tacos or burritos, spooned onto refried beans or dolloped onto a bowlful of chili.
In a small bowl, stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise, cilantro, jalapeños with brine, lime zest and juice, and cayenne. Taste and season with salt and black pepper. Use immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
