Ingredients
  • 1

cup dried sour cherries, finely chopped

  • ¼

    cup brandy

  • ¼

    cup water or apple cider

  • ¼

    cup maple syrup

In a small saucepan over medium-high, combine the cherries, brandy and water. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring, until the cherries have softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the maple syrup and cook until heated through, another 1 to 2 minutes.

Serve warm. The cherries can be cooled to room temperature and refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 week; rewarm before serving.
