Bourbon, Cardamom, and Ginger Whipped Cream

Ingredients

    cup heavy cream

  • 6

    cardamom pods, crushed

  • ½

    slice of ginger, smashed

  • 2

    tablespoons bourbon

  • 1

    tablespoon white sugar

  • kosher salt

Step 1

Combine the heavy cream, cardamom pods, and ginger in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Turn off heat, and allow to steep for 15 minutes at room temperature. Strain, and transfer to a bowl and place in refrigerator and allow to cool completely, or overnight.

Step 2

Combine bourbon, sugar, a pinch of kosher salt, and flavored cream, beat until mixture holds soft peaks.
